When the word yoga is mentioned, most people think of stretching and stress reduction. The actual meaning of Yoga is the science of the mind. Yoga is the ability to direct the mind without distraction or interruption. Yoga is the practice of observing yourself without judgment.

During her travels Valerie allows a close relationship to develop between children, nature and yoga. Once children feel connected to nature our youth will see the connection between loving the earth and caring for its well-being, including themselves. She donates 10% of her Rainforest Adventure Yoga DVD sales to help feed and pay for their veterinarian costs at the Wildlife Learning Center in Sylmar, California.
